Meet Your Coach:

I’ve spent most of my life searching for meaning and as a result I’ve changed career several times. My career has included nursing, humanitarian aid, counselling, social development and personal training.

Yet my career couldn’t distract me from the long standing feeling of being stuck.

My stuckness was about something I couldn’t 'fix'.

I thought I wanted a partner and a child, and didn’t have either.

Self coaching brought me some 'light bulb moments'. I now see clearly that it was my thinking, not my circumstances, that were holding me back from living my best life.

Once I knew why I was stuck, my work then became about the how and what of finding freedom.

Through applying tools and insights gained in my life coach training with Dr. Martha Beck I’ve created my life as it is now. My external circumstances haven’t massively changed, yet I’ve never felt as content and alive.

Before I coached with Shona, I felt like I was broken and unfixable.

She gives you ideas, points of view, techniques, and science based facts (which I liked) to help slowly change your thoughts to the ones you would love to have instead.

Things didn’t change for me overnight. I worked hard and did ‘homework’ and practised thinking the new thoughts and ideas in between sessions. Since we’ve worked together I’ve come to believe that others can truthfully like me for who I am.

I now feeling my feelings instead of hiding or masking them. I’ve more control over myself and am so much more confident, I am working towards my goals and values in life because I now know I am worthy.
